Job Description

Under the direction of Maintenance leadership, this position will organize and execute all aspects of the plant's Predictive Maintenance (PdM) needs using various predictive technologies and techniques. This position also has strong functional ties to the department maintenance leadership to assist with the corrective actions needed to address identified issues when performing CBM reviews and data collection.
Responsibilities
Primarily responsible for Analysis of data collected from CBM Condition Based Maintenance routes. Secondary duties will include UE data collection, IR data collection and analysis, Vibration data collection and analysis, and root cause failure analysis (RCFA). The CBM program will be developed under the direction of the maintenance leadership & 3rd party resources as needed

Vibration

Analyze vibration data

Perform vibration route data collection on critical equipment

Manage vibration software database, analysis parameter settings, and alarms
Ultrasonic (UE)

Rotational equipment component monitoring and lubrication

Compressed gas and steam leak detection

Reporting for recommended repairs

Infrared (IR)
Perform Mechanical and Electrical IR PM

Become Arc Flash trained

Analyze IR data and make reports.
Motor Circuit Analysis (MCA)
Perform off-line quality acceptance testing on new motors

Perform on-line and off-line testing on critical motors in operation

Analyze data & report on recommended repairs
Machinery Lubrication Analysis
Process lubricant samples

Analyze sample data

Reporting and recommendations

Manage PdM equipment and be responsible for its safe usage and storage

Assist in the creation/update of PdM routes using the appropriate technology for the application

Train others in the use of the different predictive technologies as needed

Assist with addressing discovered issues while performing CBM routes and equipment inspections. (Enter notification into SAP, notify coordinator/lube tech/mechanic, or address in the field as needed)

Some travel will be required for this position. There are several courses held out of the state that the associate will need to attend. Other facilities have requested support in the past. If needed in the future, the associate may be sent to help for short periods of time.

General Responsibilities

Develop and maintain positive rapport with customers, suppliers, contractors, Kraft associates, and 3rd party storeroom associates.

Serve as leader or participant on assigned teams & support team decisions.

Comply with QRMP Quality Risk Management requirements for Maintenance/Engineering department.

Accountable for the Safety, Health and Environmental systems and operational standards to ensure compliance as it is outlined in our policies/procedures and processes.

Facilitate timely completion & effectiveness of QRMP corrective actions for area of responsibility.

Carry a Kraft-issued phone at all times and respond to emergency calls

Provide coverage for peers on vacation, training, sick, and meetings.

Coordinate vacation with Maintenance leadership & communicate via E-Mail with as much notice as possible.

Support Idea and Suggestion initiatives generated within BU.

Follow correct call-in procedures as detailed in Section 2, first page of handbook.

Perform all work in accordance with Kraft, OSHA, and NEC standards (in a safe and efficient manner consistent with lockout/tagout, hot work, fall protection, and other OSHA regulations).

Comply with all Kraft policies, procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.

Understand and accepts the Operational Reliability culture and is supportive of plant and department team goals and vision.

Utilize the SAP system to document maintenance activities.

Perform other duties as assigned by Maintenance Management.

Qualifications
Must have extensive knowledge of electrical equipment, components, and parts with a background in industrial, mechanical & electrical processes.

Ohm's law, Relationship of voltage, current and resistance in electrical circuit

DC circuit - power, voltage, current and resistance in series and parallel.

AC circuit - power, resistance, inductance, and capacitance in a 3 phase system.

Leading, lagging voltage and current angles displayed in a vector diagram or voltage current time domain for a 3 phase AC motor circuit.

Three Phase Induction Motor Theory

Basic AC Induction motor theory of operation and construction including

Components of the motor stator, rotor, pole construction, ect

Motor insulations and types

Servo motors theory, operation and construction

Basic DC motor theory of operation and construction including

Components of motor commutator, armature, field, field windings, brushes etc.

Safe use of Tools & Electrical Measuring Instruments

Multimeters, Current Probes, MegOhm Meters

Will be required to achieve level I certification for Vibration, Oil Analysis, and Infrared technologies within one year.

Minimum of 2 years mechanical/electrical background in an industrial setting is required.

Must have strong keyboarding and computer skills, and ability to interface with Microsoft Office business application software.

Must be able to apply problem-solving techniques, communicate effectively, demonstrate leadership, and plan effectively.

Administrative, organizational, interpersonal and presentation skills.

Written and oral communication skills with the ability to convey ideas/facts clearly and concisely.

Must meet pre-qualification criteria and be willing to upgrade skills in areas where skills are marginal.

Person must have knowledge of or be willing and able to train in Maintenance Systems and new technologies in predictive maintenance.

Physical Requirements
Performs bending, squatting, kneeling, sorting, ascending, and descending moves up to 50 pounds; holds and grips object; must possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment and disassemble and reassemble equipment.

Working Environment
Primarily indoors in both a hot, humid production environment and cold, cooler environment.
