Job description

Electrical and mechanical repairs, inspections, maintenance, and installation of overhead cranes, jib cranes, and gantry cranes. Perform modifications and upgrades on cranes.


  • Perform monthly crane inspections
  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair tasks of all electrical/mechanical crane systems
  • Operation mobile equipment including fork trucks, extending boom fork trucks, man lifts and overhead cranes

Required

  • Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining AC/DC drives and PLC electrical control circuits
  • Must know basic AC/DC motor theory
  • Must have a strong safety record, good attitude with proven mechanical ability, good communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a team or individual setting
  • Ability to work at heights

Preferred

  • Sound knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance of production equipment and machinery, familiarity with radio controls, PLC’s and AC/DC drives
  • Familiarity with the installation and alignment of motors, brakes, couplings, and gearboxes
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
