Medication Aide

Pay: $18.20 per hour

Work Schedule: Full time, 2pm-10pm shift & on-call openings

What you'll do: You'll be responsible for distributing client's medication from filled prescriptions and assisting in the overall operation of the medication room. Other functions include:

  1. Administer medications and document as ordered.
  2. Maintain security of medication room.
  3. Return outdated medication to pharmacy and keep log books updated.
  4. Maintain absolute security and confidentiality of all medical records; observe applicable HIPAA rules.

Education and experience requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a required certified medication aide training course.
  • Must successfully pass state medication aide exam or possess current LVN license in the state of Texas or ability to transfer license to Texas.
  • Valid driver's license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
