KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Gather requirements for IT development projects by conducting interviews, Story Mapping, Storyboarding, work flow analysis, process analysis, and observation sessions
Write concise and effective User Stories that capture the Product Owner's business needs
Define precise and accurate User Story acceptance criteria that will be used by developers and automation test frameworks to ensure that the Product Owner's intent is effectively captured
Ensure that User Stories and other requirements artifacts satisfy standards of quality and completeness defined by the team
Lead Product Backlog Grooming on multiple projects
Evaluate information from multiple sources and help distinguish user requests from user needs
Arrange client reviews and demos of software under development, ensuring client satisfaction
Support key business relationships across our customer base
Serve as the Proxy for the Business product Owner where needed
Foster Agile principles and methods for analyzing and developing requirements
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of Business Systems Analysis experience with a strong emphasis on new software development
2+ years experience in a true Agile / Scrum / XP environment where Test Driven Development (TDD) and similar "test first" techniques and methods are employed
Experience using Agile "test first" frameworks like Cucumber with Gherkin and other BDD test specification frameworks a HUGE PLUS
Well-versed in Backlog grooming, Story estimation and Story prioritization techniques applied to Vendor, Custom, and hybrid software solutions
Proven skill and effectiveness in requirements gathering, definition, data analysis, process analysis, business and functional requirements analysis, system design, testing implementation, and change management
Skill and experience working with traditional use case based analysis of business processes and knowledge of the Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) a plus
Must have exceptional soft skills, including the ability to speak to both technical and business concerns
Ability to mentor and coach others
EDUCATION AND JOB-RELATED EDUCATION:
B.S./B.A in a Technical or Business field, or equivalent work experience.
CERTIFICATIONS:
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), or other applicable certifications a HUGE PLUS.
