Job description

Docketly Remote Full-time $20-$22/hourย

Close the coverage gap. Every hearing, every day.ย

When a law firm needs an attorney in a courtroom on short notice,ย Docketlyย delivers, andย you'reย the person who makes that happen.ย As an Operations Associate on our Coverage team, you own a live book of court hearings andย workย the phones, texts, and email to lock in attorney coverage before the clock runs out.ย The job is part dispatcher, part closer, part account manager:ย fast, measurable, and never boring.ย

Thisย isn'tย a role where you wait for work to come to you.ย You'llย negotiate fees in real time, make confident calls under pressure, and keepย hearings on track and clients inย the loop, all while protectingย the numbers that keep the business healthy.ย

Aboutย Docketlyย

Docketly, a sister companyย toย ABC Legal Services, is a fast-growing legal-tech company based in Longmont, Colorado. For the creditors' rights industry, we make hiring a stand-in attorney easy, fast, and reliable. Byย pairingย our proprietary software with a nationwide network of attorneys,ย we'veย redefinedย what'sย possible inย legal support services, andย we'reย growing fast.ย

Whatย you'llย doย

  • Secure coverage on a deadline.ย Own a portfolio of open court hearings andย work them daily by phone, text, and email to get the right attorney committedย before the hearing date.ย
  • Negotiate fees in real time.ย Hold your position on price, handle counteroffers, and extend above-standard offersย when a market is tight, always protecting margin while getting to yes.ย
  • Triage a fast-moving pipeline.ย Prioritize competing hearings, make sound judgment calls quickly, and explain your reasoning clearly to your team.ย
  • Manage the curveballs.ย Handle last-minute changes, cancellations, and urgent coverage gaps with a solutions-first mindset.ย
  • Onboard and support attorneys.ย Walk new attorneys through howย Docketlyย works, answer their questions, and be their go-toย contactย so they keep saying yes.ย
  • Keep clients in the loop.ย Update law firms on hearing status to build trust and head off surprises.ย
  • Keep your data clean.ย Logย activity, confirm assignments, andย keep your pipelineย accurate. Your numbers tell your story.ย
  • Make the system better.ย Spot recurring coverage gaps and bring ideas to daily huddles and team meetings.ย

What success looks likeย

You'llย be measured on clear,ย daily metrics: how fast hearings get covered, how few get dropped, how efficiently youย workย your book, and how well we hold to cost targets. If you like a scoreboard and a number to beat,ย you'llย feel at home. Ifย you'dย rather not be measured, thisย isn'tย the role.ย

A day in this roleย

No two days are identical, but the rhythm is steady. You start the morningย on your highest-priority open hearings, calling, texting, and emailing attorneysย to lock in coverage before court.ย Midday, you triage new and at-risk hearings, negotiate fees when a market is tight, and keep law-firm clients updated on status. Throughout the day you onboard new attorneys, resolve scheduling and conflict issues as they surface, and keep your records clean. You close out by setting up tomorrow's coverage and handing off anything still in motion.ย It'sย on-site in Longmont, Monday through Friday, alongside a coverage-operations team that solves problems together.ย

Whatย we'reย looking forย

Requiredย

  • 1+ย yearย in a role requiring high-volume phone outreach or direct negotiation. Examples: inside sales, SDR/BDR, account management, collections, dispatch, scheduling, or high-touch customer service.ย
  • Comfortable and efficient on the phone, with strong verbal and written communication.ย
  • Genuinely organized. You manage many open itemsย at once without letting anything slip.ย
  • Calm and decisive under deadline pressure; you make the call and keep moving.ย
  • Tech-comfortable and quick to learn new platforms.ย
  • High school diploma or equivalent.ย

Preferred (nice to have, notย required)ย

  • Experience in staffing,ย dispatch, gig-platform operations, or a high-volume call-center/outbound environment.ย
  • A track recordย of hitting or exceeding KPIs in aย metrics-driven role.ย
  • Familiarity with CRM or scheduling tools.ย
  • Exposure to legal, court, orย collectionsย operations.ย
  • Comfortable on Mac OS and Google Workspace.ย

Core skillsย

  • Scheduling and calendar coordinationย
  • High-volume phone, text, and email communicationย
  • Negotiation and objection handlingย
  • Customer service and relationship managementย
  • Pipeline / case management and prioritizationย
  • Data entry and CRM / ticketing systemsย
  • Attention to detail and multitasking under deadlinesย
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolutionย

You'llย thrive here ifย you'veย worked in...ย

Inside sales, SDR/BDR, account management, collections, high-volume call centers or outbound sales, staffing, dispatch, orย gig-platform operations. Anywhere speed, persistence, and relationship-building were the job, and you picked up the phone, hit a quota, and solved problems under pressure.ย

Compensation & benefitsย

Pay: $20-$22 per hour (this is the full hourly range; there is no sales commission).ย ย Your starting rate depends on experience.ย

Growth, not commission:ย We promote from within. Strong Operations Associates move up a defined ladder toward senior specialist and supervisor roles as they build theirย track record.ย

Benefits:ย

  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insuranceย
  • 401(k) with Company Matchingย
  • Paid Time Offย
  • 7 Paid Company Holidaysย
  • 4 Floating Holidays per Yearย
  • Life Insurance and AD&D Insuranceย
  • Long-Term Disabilityย
  • Health Care Reimbursement Flexible Spending Account (FSA)ย
  • Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accountย
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)ย
  • Pet Insuranceย

Schedule & locationย

  • Schedule:ย Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (Mountain Time)ย
  • Location: Remote (Wisconsin)
  • Job type:ย Full-timeย

Whyย Docketlyย

You'llย join a collaborative, supportive team that runs on input and ideas. Daily huddles and team meetings are where we share challenges, brainstorm solutions, and improve how we work. The pace isย fastย and theย standards are high. So is the opportunity to growย with a companyย that'sย scaling.ย

Docketly is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.
