ABC57 News in South Bend, Indiana is seeking an Executive Producer to lead our morning show team to success.
About the Role
• Manage the newsroom, lead the editorial process, and make quick, informed decisions during breaking news situations
• Dedicate time to capturing breaking news and weather coverage across all platforms
• Mentor producers with a focus on growth and ratings success
• Inspire creativity, foster a collaborative environment, and support team development
• Lead story selection and oversee reporter assignments
What You'll Do
• Delegate daily assignments and breaking news responsibilities
• Create efficient workflows and maintain a strong sense of urgency
• Oversee broadcast quality control, including spell checking, factual accuracy, and fostering creativity
• Communicate effectively across all departments
• Coordinate closely with other news managers to ensure cohesive coverage
• Perform other duties, as assigned
What You'll Need
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, TV/Film or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Television or Radio Broadcast/Production
• Line producing experienced (required)
• Experience with Avid iNews or other rundown software
• Strong news judgement, leadership abilities, and organizational skills
• Basic familiarity with Microsoft 365 platforms (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive,etc.)
• On-site work only (required); must be available to work any shift
