As a Security Officer at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, you play an integral part in creating an environment that is safe and comfortable for our guests and associates, as well as detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other unlawful behavior. This role is ideal for someone looking to begin his or her career in law enforcement and public safety.

Grand Geneva in Lake Geneva is a 1,300 acre, AAA Four Diamond resort and spa recognized as a Top Resort in the Midwest by Conde Nast Traveler. This award-winning, all-seasons destination features over 746 guest accommodations, the WELL Spa & Salon, two championship golf courses, fitness facilities, a ski hill and terrain park, and 9 unique food and beverage outlets. What will you be doing?

  • Maintain safety for guests and associates while protecting property through continuous foot and vehicle patrols of the 1,300-acre campus.
  • Write professional case reports on incidents.
  • Provide CPR and first aid as a trained first responder.
  • Operate a dispatch center, handling key control, fire alarm and CCTV monitoring, and dispatching routine and emergency calls.
  • Perform proactive security, safety, and loss prevention practices.
  • Investigate situations and conditions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What do you bring to the role?

  • Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background check.
  • Prior experience in security, military, or EMS preferred. Knowledge of security and law enforcement practices is a plus.
  • College education preferred.
  • Exceptional people skills, strong writing and logical thinking abilities.
  • Maintain impeccable grooming and attire standards while wearing a security uniform.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and the public.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and use hands for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
