Job description

AAA Parking is seeking dedicated and dependable Custodian Maintenance Workers to join our Environmental Services team at Grady Hospital. The Maintenance Worker plays a vital role by maintaining the overall appearance of the facility, ensuring equipment is functioning properly, and assisting with special projects. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to safety.

  • Must be willing to submit to minor medical screening and annual flu shot for hospital badge requirements. (Employer Paid)

Responsibilities:

  • Check maintenance schedule for special projects for the day
  • Walk the facilities picking up trash, checking for burned out lights, empty full trash cans.
  • Record any repair or maintenance problems,
  • Report illegal parkers and ticket if necessary
  • Sweep all entrances and exits and pick up any trash, sweep garages regularly
  • May require painting of poles, walls, machines, curbs, lanes and other requests
  • Clean all restrooms in facilities and all stairwells
  • Maintain any other equipment on facilities
  • Clean all oil/water spots as needed
  • Check all ticket spitters and gates to ensure that they are working properly and are properly stocked with tickets and the correct time is on equipment.
  • Ensure that all machines are kept clean and wiped down from dirt.
  • Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on equipment
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism at all times
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred
  • Previous maintenance or facilities experience (hospital/healthcare setting a plus)
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or mechanical systems
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • All candidates must successfully pass a background check and drug screening
  • Must be willing to submit to minor medical screening and annual flu shot for hospital badge requirements. (Employer Paid)
