The Commercial Account Executive is responsible for driving new business growth by identifying opportunities, cultivating executive-level relationships, and delivering consultative security solutions. This role requires an entrepreneurial approach to developing new business within an assigned territory through strategic prospecting, networking, and relationship management.

NOTE: This role is hybrid and requires 3 days a week in our Tempe, AZ office.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Strategy, Prospecting, and Relationship Building
    • Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to achieve and exceed sales objectives.
    • Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, referrals, networking, industry events, and strategic partnerships.
    • Establish trusted relationships with business owners, executives, property managers, builders, and other key decision-makers.
    • Represent the organization professionally within the community through networking, industry associations, and business development activities.
    • Maintain current knowledge of market trends, competitive solutions, and emerging technologies to position the company as a trusted industry leader.
  • Solution Sales Execution
    • Conduct comprehensive customer discovery to understand business objectives, operational challenges, and security needs.
    • Design and present customized electronic security and smart technology solutions that deliver measurable business value.
    • Prepare professional proposals, presentations, and business cases that align customer objectives with company capabilities.
    • Manage the complete sales lifecycle, including prospecting, qualification, solution development, negotiation, contract execution, and successful handoff to operations.
  • Operational Alignment and Pipeline Governance
    • Maintain a healthy and predictable sales pipeline while providing accurate forecasting through CRM.
    • Collaborate with Operations, Customer Success, Marketing, and Leadership to ensure a seamless customer experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Experience selling consultative solutions with multiple decision-makers.
  • Strong business development, prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple opportunities while maintaining exceptional organizational discipline.
  • Experience utilizing CRM platforms to manage pipeline activity and sales forecasting.

EDUCATION, COMPETENCIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

  • Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelor's plus 5 years or High School diploma plus 9 years of outside B2B sales with a demonstrated achievement against revenue goals.
    • Experience selling consultative solutions with multiple decision-makers.
    • Experience utilizing CRM platforms to manage pipeline activity and sales forecasting.
    • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT / MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Works in an office and field environment that includes: sitting at a desk, table or computer workstation for extended periods of time, in field meeting with customers or at job sites.
