Position Overview

Spotlight Media is seeking a creative, motivated, and dependable Part-Time Videographer to join our growing team. This role is responsible for capturing high-quality video content for a wide variety of client projects throughout Fargo, the surrounding region, and occasional travel destinations.
The ideal candidate has a strong eye for storytelling and composition, is experienced in both videography and video editing, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. We're looking for someone who can manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, communicate effectively, and deliver polished video content with quick turnaround times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Capture high-quality video content tailored to each client's goals, including corporate interviews, events, promotional videos, real estate, lifestyle content, social media, testimonials, and commercial productions.
  • Edit and produce professional-quality videos using industry-standard editing software, including color correction, audio balancing, graphics, and basic motion elements as needed.
  • Deliver finished video projects within established timelines while maintaining Spotlight Media's quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Spotlight's internal team members to understand the project objectives and bring client creative concepts to life.
  • Assist with pre-production planning, including shot lists, equipment preparation, and scheduling when needed.
  • Manage project timelines efficiently and communicate proactively regarding project progress and deadlines.
  • Organize, back up, and maintain video files and project assets.
  • Represent Spotlight Media professionally while working on location with clients and community partners.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a videographer with a strong portfolio demonstrating a variety of video styles and storytelling techniques.
  • High proficiency in professional video editing software.
  • Strong understanding of camera operation, lighting, composition, and audio recording techniques.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills when working with clients and internal team members.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a creative team.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the Fargo-Moorhead area and occasionally beyond.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
