  • Support production by troubleshooting and programmingexisting and newplant automation equipment
  • Programand designnew and existingPLC controls
  • Travel to sister plants as needed for completion of core job functions.
  • Maintainaccurateand consistent schedules for projects and tasks for multiple plant projects.
  • Programming of robots and touching up points as needed to support production needs.
  • Working with production and process tooptimizeline flow, cycle timeissuesand quality concerns through changes in programming or troubleshooting of controls.
  • Program and design new and existing PLC controls.
  • Help plan preventative maintenance plans for equipment in the plant both new and current.
  • Work to help developnew technologyfor the plant toutilizein efforts to improve cycle times and quality detection / prevention systems.
  • Help train plant techs and engineers on controls related skills.
  • Create and correct plant electrical drawings for equipment.
  • Work with plant teams to help developaccuratequoting models.
REQUIREMENTSEducation
  • BSEE or BSME Degreerequired
Years of Experience
  • 3 – 5 Years of experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs and Robots
  • 1-3 Years ofSiemens S7 programming experience a plus
Other Requirements
  • Regular and predictable attendancerequired
  • High levelof understanding of Fanuc RobotsandABB robot operations
  • Demonstratedunderstanding of Ethernet cabling and addressing, Device Net, RIO, and wireless PC networking
  • Understanding of basic conceptsof MMIs, familiar with PanelView Plus and PanelView hardware
  • Demonstratedunderstanding of Cognex In-Sight software
  • Demonstrated knowledgeof ladder logic programming, PLC 5, SLC500, ControlLogix, MicroLogix, RIO, EthernetI/P,DeviceNet
  • Demonstratedunderstanding of AC and DC motorsandservo systems
  • Working knowledge ofKinetix, Ultra3000,PowerFlex, 1305and1338 drives
  • Valid driver’s licenserequiredfor business travel
  • Work beyond the traditional 40 hours per week may berequiredas workload or projects dictate, including, nights,weekendsand holidays

  • Advanced/Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to wire industrial control systems including 480V/120V/24V power, drives, motors, I/Oand sensors

  • Ability to connect to PLC and navigate programming software
