Job description

Embark on a rewarding contract assignment supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC required) for a full school year. Two SLPs are needed to deliver in-person speech and language services across four schools near the Abbeville, MS area. You'll work collaboratively with staff and may have the option to provide virtual support if an SLPA is available to assist on-site.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Current SLP-CCC certification
  • Eligible for state licensure to practice in educational settings
  • Comfortable managing a caseload of approximately 34-40 students
  • Experience serving a diverse caseload of school-aged children
  • Ability to work on-site in a school environment; flexibility to provide virtual services if supported by on-site SLPA
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver evidence-based speech/language therapy to students with a range of needs
  • Conduct evaluations, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and maintain thorough documentation
  • Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to support each student's progress
  • Engage in consultation, classroom strategies, and team meetings across two designated regions and four schools
  • Help facilitate both direct and consultative services, ensuring all students on the caseload receive the required support
