Can a speech-language pathologist help with dyslexia?

A speech-language pathologist (SLPA) can assist individuals with dyslexia by addressing language processing, phonological awareness, and decoding skills. What can you do as an SLPA?

An SLPA (Speech-Language Pathology Assistant) supports speech-language pathologists by implementing treatment plans, conducting speech and language assessments, and assisting with therapy sessions. They typically work under supervision in clinics, schools, or healthcare settings and may use tools like speech therapy materials and recording devices.

Where do SLPAs make the most money?

SLPAs (Speech-Language Pathology Assistants) tend to earn higher salaries in regions with greater demand for speech therapy services, such as urban areas or states with higher living costs. Salary levels are also influenced by experience, certifications, and the work setting, such as hospitals or private clinics, which may offer higher pay compared to schools or outpatient facilities.
