Job Description
When you accept a position with Volo, you'll be joining a passionate, driven group of people. Hosts and Referees serve as representatives for Volo and its subsidiaries at facilities and bars and are the main point of contact for our players in leagues. This is a part time position, however, there are opportunities for advancement within the company.

Referee responsibilities including, but not limited to:
  • Ensure a safe, fun, social and fair environment for all players
  • Understand and kindly and fairly enforce soccer rules
  • Communicate with the office regarding any equipment, rule issues, player issues, etc.
  • Update league scores in our user interface
  • Check in players in our user interface
  • Promote events and upcoming leagues via social media and on-field selling
  • Help distribute marketing materials
  • Encourage and maintain a quality experience throughout the league
  • Set up & take down field set up
  • Meet players and make them feel welcome

Must-Haves
  • Must be willing and able to work weeknights and weekends
  • Interest in sports and social activities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Works well in a team atmosphere
  • Ability to multi-task and make decisions under pressure
  • Ability to lift and carry 30-50 pounds
  • Possess a positive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to communicate clearly

  • A car or access to transportation
  • As a referee, you must have played the sport before, and attend a shadow shift with a veteran referee as well as a sport specific training as they are available.
  • Certified referees may qualify for a higher starting rate.
