Job description

Gaven Industries, Inc. is looking for a highly organized and dependable Accounting Professional to perform daily accounting tasks that will support our team. Responsibilities include A/R, A/P, payroll support, project invoicing, and maintaining records to support audits. Additional duties include union and certified payrolls, coordination of insurance requirements, sales and use tax support. This is a full-time position with hybrid/flexible scheduling options.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages accounts receivables and accounts payables.
  • Assists weekly payroll process, which can include union and certified payrolls.
  • Works with Project Management to ensure timely and accurate progress billings.
  • On-board customers and co-manage credit limits and sales tax exemptions.
  • Coordinates insurance requirements with customers when required.
  • Assist with sales and use tax filings.
  • Process weekly expense reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong general accounting knowledge.
  • Ability to quickly learn complex ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, Office 365 and SharePoint.
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines, multi-task, and work under pressure due to work complexity and time sensitivity
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all aspects of job responsibilities

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent work experience
  • 2 years of experience in similar role
