What You'll Do
- Own day-to-day bookkeeping in QuickBooks:
A/P, A/R, deposits, bank & credit card
reconciliations.
- Build and maintain job costing for every iron
door, glass room, and install — materials, labor,
powder coat, freight, subs.
- Track WIP, deposits collected, and progress
billings against each open job.
- Reconcile vendor bills to POs and shop receiving;
catch pricing errors before they cost us margin.
- Run weekly cash flow, A/R aging, and job-margin
reports for the owner.
- Handle sales tax filings and 1099s; coordinate
with our outside CPA at year-end.
- Help tighten our chart of accounts and
month-end close so we know where we stand by
the 10th.
What We're Looking For

(manufacturing, construction, or contractor a big
plus).
- Strong QuickBooks skills (Desktop or Online);
comfortable in Excel — pivot tables,
VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
- Hands-on experience with job costing or project
accounting.
- Detail-obsessed, organized, and able to reconcile
to the penny.
- Clear communicator who can push back on
missing paperwork from the shop floor.
- Associate's or Bachelor's in Accounting
preferred; equivalent experience considered.
