Job description

What You'll Do

- Own day-to-day bookkeeping in QuickBooks:

A/P, A/R, deposits, bank & credit card

reconciliations.

- Build and maintain job costing for every iron

door, glass room, and install — materials, labor,

powder coat, freight, subs.

- Track WIP, deposits collected, and progress

billings against each open job.

- Reconcile vendor bills to POs and shop receiving;

catch pricing errors before they cost us margin.

- Run weekly cash flow, A/R aging, and job-margin

reports for the owner.

- Handle sales tax filings and 1099s; coordinate

with our outside CPA at year-end.

- Help tighten our chart of accounts and

month-end close so we know where we stand by

the 10th.


What We're Looking For

- 3+ years of full-charge bookkeeping experience

(manufacturing, construction, or contractor a big

plus).

- Strong QuickBooks skills (Desktop or Online);

comfortable in Excel — pivot tables,

VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.

- Hands-on experience with job costing or project

accounting.

- Detail-obsessed, organized, and able to reconcile

to the penny.

- Clear communicator who can push back on

missing paperwork from the shop floor.

- Associate's or Bachelor's in Accounting

preferred; equivalent experience considered.
