(SA-TECH) is a progressive and well-established Department of Defense (DoD) contractor specializing in Range operations and maintenance (O&M); weapons testing; facilities management; aerial, ground and seaborne targets O&M; technical, logistics and other engineering support; systems integration; electronics and communications maintenance services; and a growing cybersecurity business. SA-TECH currently supports the Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWCAD) Naval Air Systems Command, and the NAWCAD Webster Outlying Field Divisions by providing rapid organic engineering, prototyping, reverse-engineering, environmental testing, antenna repairs and life-cycle extensions, and production capabilities.


We are currently looking to hire a Quality Control Inspector at our St. Inigoes, MD facilities to implement quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations. This is not an aircraft QC/QA position, - it is a manufacturing environment - and we use a whole set of tools different from what aircraft QC uses.


The following job functions are basic requirements (but other duties may be assigned as well):

  • Inspects all phases of a variety of goods, services, or operations for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing on-going work for compliance with contractual provisions.
  • Implements quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations.
  • Ensures all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed in a satisfactory manner.
  • Specifies areas to be inspected (scheduled and unscheduled) and how often inspections will be accomplished.
  • Communicates deficiencies to proper persons, maintains Quality Control files, and document results of all inspections.
  • Conducts thorough reviews of quality requirements to identify the controls, processes, skills, fixtures, tools, and test equipment necessary to assure product quality.
  • Updates inspection and testing techniques, instrumentation, and manufacturing methods and processes.

Work Conditions:

  • Conditions will vary but most work will be conducted indoors.
  • Position will include: 45% standing, 20% bending, 15% reaching, 5% sitting, 5% walking, and 10% lifting.

Requirements

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • HS Diploma, formal technical training a plus.
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience inspecting to design specifications, either as a QC inspector or fabrication technician responsible for inspecting projects for compliance with design tolerances.
  • Prior QC Inspector experience desired.
  • Proficient with measuring tools and equipment used to perform quality control and compliance inspections of manufactured parts and materials.
  • Current Maryland Driver's License required; must be able to be insured through company's vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
  • U.S. Citizenship required and you must already have or be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to start date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment.
  • All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
