Shift Details: Monday-Friday, standard business hours with some flexibility. Holidays: No Weekends: No

This role is primarily remote with some onsite needs for project "go live", meetings or as needed and will support all Froedtert Health locations. The service line for this opening will support ambulatory specialties.

Job Summary

Plays a major role in the interdisciplinary care team's successful adoption of the electronic medical record. This role is knowledgeable about clinical workflows and the role technology plays in those workflows. This role utilizes change management principals to facilitate the adoption of new clinical workflows brought about by technology updates. To achieve maximum adoption, this role will coordinate (or provide expertise in) the planning, design, development, training, implementation, communication, maintenance, and evaluation of new or existing functionality related to clinical and business information systems in collaboration with IT and clinical operations. Working under the direction of leadership, integrates nursing/clinical science, computer science, informational science to manage and communicate data, information, knowledge and expertise in clinical practice. Works as a liaison among stakeholders in order to ensure engagement and elicit, analyze, prioritize and validate workflows and requirements for changes in processes, policies, and information systems. Ensures data/information is current with regulatory agency and best practice standards. Coordinates the collection and reporting of metrics defining benefits realization associate with the clinical information systems. Serves as an internal consultant to all departments to identify and achieve department and project goals.

Experience Description

A minimum of 2 years of nursing clinical experience. Demonstrated competency and knowledge as acquired by the participation in multi-disciplinary implementation projects with a clinical scope or a minimum of 2 years of clinical informatics experience required. 3 or more years of Nursing Informatics experience preferred.

Education Description

Any non-BSN nurse with less than one year of licensed registered nurse experience will be required to enroll in a BSN (or higher nursing degree) program. Acceptance into a program is expected within 15 months of hire and the degree program completed within 5 years of enrollment, or 6 years if program is MSN, DNP or PhD in Nursing. Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.

Special Skills Description

Expertise with statistical analysis and interpretation of data. Strategic problem solving, organization, and superior planning skills. Excellent verbal and written skills for high-level communication. Previous experience Ability to manage and coordinate implementation, design and maintenance of clinical information systems used to improve clinical operations for a service line, group of service lines or clinical platform. Ability to plan, prioritize, summarize, direct and oversee staff, users and vendors in clinical systems development, enhancement and support functions with an emphasis on quality solutions the impact of change to people and process in clinical operations. Demonstrated team player who can work effectively across teams.

Licensure Description

Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).
