Job description

Job Title: CDL A Driver – Dump Truck & Heavy Equipment Transport (Local / South Tampa)

About Us: In business since 1986, our owner-operated demolition team is built on long-term stability, steady year-round work, and a tight-knit crew. We are fully booked through the end of the year and looking for a reliable, self-starting CDL A Driver to grow with our company.

What We Offer:

  • Consistent, Local Work: Home every night; primary job sites located in South Tampa.
  • Year-Round Job Security: Booked solid with reliable work through the end of the year and beyond.
  • Competitive Pay & Steady Hours: Full-time stability with an established team.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Operate Class A tractor-trailer combinations to safely transport heavy equipment (e.g., excavators) to and from active demolition job sites.
  • Operate tri-axle dump trucks for local material transport and haul-off.
  • Participate in general site cleanup and physical labor (approx. 20–30 minutes per job, including hand-picking concrete or wood debris).
  • Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain equipment standards.

Key Requirements:

  • Valid Class A CDL (Required).
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR): Minimum 3-year clean driving record required by insurance.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to work outdoors in Florida heat, bend, lift heavy materials, and assist with hands-on site cleanup.
  • Prior Experience: Hands-on job site experience operating heavy equipment transport vehicles.
  • Pre-Employment Screening: Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment drug test and background check.
