Job description

Built to Chill. Driven in Blue. Powered by You.

Where Refrigerated Freight Meets a Culture That Puts Drivers First

At J&R Schugel, we’re more than a trucking company—our fleet is driver-built and driver-powered, with a legacy of excellence and a future shaped by every person behind the wheel. Our refrigerated network is strong, our equipment is modern, and our pay packages are designed to reward the professionals who keep America’s temperature-controlled freight moving. What truly sets us apart is our people-first culture, our long-term commitment to driver ownership through ESOP, and a belief that when drivers thrive, the entire company moves forward.

Here, drivers do more than run miles, they build equity, earn respect, and join a team that values their time, their skill, and their life off the road. For those seeking a driving career that is steady, supportive, and seriously rewarding, it is time to step into the Blue.

What It Means to Drive in Blue

A Culture That Respects You

We listen. We support. We keep you moving. Drivers are the heart of our company, and everything we build—from our pay structure to our home-time options—starts with your needs.

A Stable Future You Can Own

As an Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP) company, every mile you run builds your personal stake in our success. At J&R Schugel, you’re not just a driver—you’re a part-owner.

Equipment, Pay & Freight Built Around You

We invest in late-model equipment, structured pay increases, and consistent miles so you can build the life you want for yourself and your family—with confidence.

Predictability Without the Pressure

With strong freight lanes, reliable schedules, and no-touch loads, we help you run smart, stress less, and stay in control of your career—and your time.

Your Run, Your Rewards

Join a fleet built for refrigerated excellence—and built around you. At J&R Schugel, our 2016 & newer temperature-controlled trailers, reliable nationwide lanes, and premium freight give CDL-A drivers the stability and momentum they expect from a company driven in Blue. With our elevated Reefer Pay Package, you’ll earn more on every mile while hauling the refrigerated products that keep America moving. We match your lifestyle with flexible home-time options and keep you comfortable in late-model equipment designed for real drivers. If you’re a proven CDL-A professional ready to own your path in a driver-powered, Blue-proud fleet, this is where your next chapter begins.
