About the job Entry Level CDL A Driver
American Driver is hiring in Birmingham, AL. If you have your Class A CDL and you're looking for an OTR position that gives you real training, consistent miles, and a paycheck you can count on - this is worth a look.
No prior experience required. We put you with a mentor, train you on live freight, and get you to solo as fast as you're ready.
Training:

  • 4-6 weeks fully paid with a dedicated mentor
  • Live freight from day one
  • ELD, HOS, inspections, and daily operations covered
  • Weekly pay throughout
  • Solo at $0.56 CPM after completion
On the Road:
  • No-touch dry van freight
  • 60% drop and hook
  • 2,200-2,500 miles per week
  • Consistent freight, minimal downtime
Pay:
  • $0.56-$0.65 CPM based on experience
  • Most drivers earn $1,200-$1,500 weekly
  • Stop, layover, and breakdown pay
  • Six-month pay increase
  • $300 orientation pay
  • Weekly direct deposit
Home Time:
  • Every two weeks on a planned schedule
Equipment:
  • Freightliner or Kenworth (2022-2025) with APUs
