Mental Health Specialist – Full Time (Weekdays 9am to 5pm) | Springfield, NJ

Organization: Social Clubhouse, Inc.

Location: Springfield, NJ 07081 (In-Person)

Pay Range: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour based on experience and credentials

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm

Type: Full Time | No evenings | No weekends

Join a supportive, mission-driven team serving adults living with mental health conditions. As a Mental Health Specialist at Social Clubhouse, you will gain hands-on experience in:

About Social Clubhouse

For over 30 years, Social Clubhouse has provided structured day services for adults in recovery from mental health conditions. Our partial care program focuses on skill-building, community integration, and person-centered support.

What You Will Do:
  • Facilitate multiple structured therapeutic and psychoeducational groups daily

  • Assist in developing and improving group curriculum

  • Provide daily support and engagement to program members

  • Collaborate with Case Managers to coordinate services

  • Complete daily and weekly service documentation

  • Provide community escorts as needed

  • Contribute to a welcoming, respectful, recovery-oriented culture

Training will be provided in IMR, Prevocational Services, and Co-Occurring programming.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Must-Have Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of direct experience working with adults living with mental health conditions and/or co-occurring disabilities (MUST).

  • Group Facilitation: Proven experience leading or co-facilitating groups in a therapeutic, educational, or rehabilitative setting (MUST).

Education & Credential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in mental health, social services, psychosocial rehabilitation, or a related field

    OR

  • Relevant professional or lived experience in mental health services, peer support, or advocacy

    OR

  • CPRP (Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner) or CMHA (Community Mental Health Associate) credential

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Confident and comfortable facilitating adult groups independently

  • Organized, reliable, and attentive to service documentation

  • Compassionate and grounded in person-centered, recovery-focused care

  • Interested in long-term professional growth within behavioral health
