Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Merchandising Assistant to join our dynamic team at a large Asian grocery retail corporation. As a Merchandising Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the merchandising department in optimizing product placement, managing inventory, and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. Your efforts will contribute to the overall success and growth of our business in the competitive grocery market.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly and professionally to incoming phone calls and emails from vendors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Assist in revising and managing purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, and timely processing.
  • Follow up on backorders, claims, and contracts to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address any merchandising-related issues and provide necessary support.
  • Collaborate with the merchandising team to update product information, pricing, and promotions on various platforms.
  • Perform general administrative tasks to support the merchandising department's day-to-day operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • An Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Seafood products, cultural preferences, and market trends is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
