Job Description:

The A&P Mechanic position is responsible for the operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of all systems on Boeing 757-200 aircraft, including engine removal and installation. This role operates in a fast-paced, timesensitive environment and requires frequent outdoor work. Additional responsibilities include completing administrative tasks related to FAA Part 125 operations and flying as an onboard technician performing cabin safety duties.


Position Requires being domiciled (within 1 hour response time) to Richmond International Airport in order to meet time sensitive schedule requirements and on-call responsibilities


Essential Functions:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of FAA operational procedures and inspection requirements.
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting and maintenance expertise across all aircraft systems.
  • Obtain and maintain airport access/security clearance (FAA).
  • Demonstrated ability to read, speak, and write the English language with proficiency.
  • Travel on short notice, both CONUS and OCONUS.
  • Work effectively with a broad range of technical references including OEM manuals, commercial documentation, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
  • Possess familiarization or experience with FAA FAR Parts 91/121/125/135 (preferred).
  • Become qualified as CSC (Cabin Safety Crew/Flight Attendant).
  • Willingness and ability to work outside regularly scheduled hours to meet company objectives. 
  • Willingness and ability to travel with short notice travelling (CONUS and OCONUS).


Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • Active Airframe and Powerplant certification (A&P License).
  • Must be a US citizen.


Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Active DoD Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
  • Boeing Aircraft Maintenance experience.
  • FAA Inspection Authorization certification (IA certification).
  • Familiarization or experience with FAA FAR Part 91/121/125/135 preferred.


Physical and Location Requirements:

  • Position requires bending, climbing, loading, and unloading aircraft cargo.
  • Ability to lift and/or move 75 pounds.
  • Required to load and unload aircraft cargo.
  • Position includes flight duties.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont and Virginia is $71,500 - $132,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
