Job description

Blaster/ Painter
Temp-to-Hire
Shop Location:
Houston, TX 77070
Must be willing to travel locally and nationally for jobs
Pay: $24-$28/ hour DOE
Prepare industrial surfaces and apply protective layers using hydroblasting, abrasive blasting, and specialized spray equipment. Ensure structural integrity and corrosion resistance in marine, oilfield, or manufacturing environments, while strictly adhering to safety and environmental standards.
Responsibilities
  • Operate high-pressure hydro-blast units and abrasive sandblast pots to strip old coatings, corrosion, and contaminants from metal or concrete surfaces.
  • Apply protective industrial coatings, primers, epoxy, and paints using airless, conventional, and plural-component spray systems. Mix chemicals and paints to precise manufacturer specifications.
  • Inspect blast finishes for proper profile and coatings for correct mil thickness to prevent premature corrosion.
  • Clean, service, and maintain blasting pots, spray guns, hoses, and air compressors.
  • Wear and maintain heavy Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Must pass background and drug screen
