Regional Sales Manager - Industrial Ventilation Systems - Base Salary to 75k/year - Indianapolis, IN
  • Our client is a well-established manufacturer of industrial ventilation, dust collection, and air handling solutions serving a wide range of industrial and manufacturing markets. They are seeking a Regional Sales Manager based in the Indianapolis area to manage and grow a multi-state dealer and distributor network throughout Indianapolis, Detroit, and Columbus.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow an assigned multi-state territory throughout Indianapolis, Detroit, and Columbus
  • Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, cold outreach, networking, and relationship development with dealers, distributors, contractors, manufacturer representatives, and industrial end users
  • Maintain and expand existing dealer and distributor relationships while identifying opportunities for increased market penetration and revenue growth
  • Partner with channel partners to support sales growth, profitability, product positioning, and customer development strategies
  • Evaluate territory coverage and identify opportunities to add, develop, or improve dealer and distributor representation within the region
  • Conduct in-person customer visits, dealer meetings, product presentations, facility tours, and jobsite visits throughout the territory
  • Utilize CRM tools to manage pipeline activity, track opportunities, document customer interactions, and forecast sales activity
  • Coordinate with internal teams regarding quotations, lead times, customer requirements, project opportunities, and sales support needs
  • Maintain awareness of market trends, competitor activity, and opportunities within industrial ventilation, dust collection, air handling, and industrial equipment markets
  • Travel throughout the assigned region approximately 50–75%, including overnight travel as needed

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience selling industrial, manufacturing, mechanical, technical, or industrial equipment products through a dealer, distributor, manufacturer representative, or channel partner network
  • Demonstrated success growing revenue within an assigned multi-state sales territory
  • Experience developing new business through prospecting, relationship building, account management, and territory development
  • Experience managing dealer, distributor, manufacturer representative, or channel partner relationships
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to discuss technical or industrial product applications with customers, distributors, and dealers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout Indianapolis, Detroit, and Columbus approximately 50–75%

Compensation:

  • Total compensation for this role consists of a base salary in the 70k - 75k/year range plus monthly commissions and quarterly and annual bonus opportunities. On-target earnings in the 140k–150k/year range
