· There are many active division projects and there is increasing investments coming over the next 5 years. The E&C Engineer position supports division projects that typically range from $1M to $15M. The E&C Engineer also leads projects that have a scope consisting of mostly controls.

Job Details:

· Senior Electrical and Controls Engineer provides Electrical & Controls Engineering for the implementation of Capital Projects.

· The primary focus of the position will involve leading electrical and controls aspects of projects. This role will be responsible for developing, scoping, coordinating, justifying, implementing, and managing from start to finish a broad range of industrial electrical and control system manufacturing projects, including scope documents, engineering calculations and designs, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, project justifications, and project training and documentation for manufacturing facilities in North America.

Roles & Responsibilities:

· Demonstrated knowledge in the application of the NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace – arc flash energy and shock hazards.

· Takes on a leadership role in the execution of RS E&C safety initiatives.

· Provides subject matter expertise to the RS Division with respect to E&C.

· Provides electrical and controls support for projects that are being managed by others:

· Perform power, electrical distribution and control system engineering calculations as required.

· Develop specifications for E&C equipment. Adhere to existing JM specifications where applicable.

· Identify suppliers and vendors that can provide E&C equipment such as switchgear, transformers, MCCs, panels, drives, circuit breakers, power supplies, contactors, relays, PLCs, HMIs, etc.

· Develop bid request documentation, supplier lists and bid evaluations. Manage orders from requisition input through installation and warranty issues.

· Identify, procure and manage contractors for the installation aspects.

· Provide detailed and accurate cost estimates and schedules to project managers

· Develops and maintains project documentation such as work scopes, drawings, start-up procedures,

· Provides financial forecast to project manager regarding the E&C scope.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree

· 5 years of experience in control systems engineering or discrete manufacturing environment.

· Demonstrated electrical and control system engineering capabilities. Proficiency in electrical systems design, control systems, and automation technologies.

· Must be proficient in AutoCad.

· Ability to manage and support multiple projects simultaneously

· Led or demonstrated success managing projects from $500k – $2M.

Preferred Requirements:

· Demonstrated experience in the engineering and implementation of 480V (Switchgear, Power Distribution Panel, Motor Control Center) and 4160V Power Distribution Systems.
