Job description

Description:

WindRiver Golf and Lakefront Community offers a wide variety of dining options including Citico’s restaurant, the Grill at WindRiver, the WindRiver Club Snack Bar, and an array of events both on and off location. 


As an Afternoon Dishwasher, you will support the kitchen staff by cleaning, sanitizing, and preparing all dishes and cookware. 

Hours: Tuesday - Wednesday 12:00pm - 6:00pm, Thursday - Saturday 12:00pm - 4pm


Dishwasher Responsibilities:

  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using commercial dishwashers or by hand
  • Maintain clean and sanitary work areas, utensils, and equipment
  • Empty and clean all trash receptacles 
  • Aid cooks, stocking, and other needs
  • Set up and break down work areas in a timely fashion
  • Properly use and store chemicals according to MSDS regulations 
  • Complete daily temperature checks on refrigerators and freezers
  • Safely operate all kitchen equipment
  • Receive and properly secure deliveries
  • Proper labeling, dating, and rotation of inventory 
  • Clean up spills or broken glassware and dishes
  • Report all equipment problems and maintenance to Supervisor
  • Report all injuries immediately to your Supervisor
  • Maintain professional appearance, behavior, posture, and hygiene
  • Adhere to WindRiver’s regularly updated COVID-19 response bulletin 
  • Follow daily opening and closing checklists 
  • Follow daily/weekly/monthly routines to maintain acceptable standard of operation
  • Ensure all utilities and equipment (TVs, fans, grill, etc.) are turned off at the end of the day
  • Attend all educational, safety, etc. staff meetings


Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • 1-year experience in the food service industry in the kitchen preferred
  • High School Diploma preferred 


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of sanitation, identification, and acceptable level of health quality
  • Must be able to understand safety rules, alcohol regulations, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures
  • Must be willing to work weekend, holiday, and evening shifts
  • Understanding of restaurant etiquette 
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations
  • Excellent track record of communication skills
  • Flexible and adaptable to accommodate scheduling needs 
  • Work as a team player with a positive attitude 


Physical Requirements: Must be able to bend, stoop, climb stairs, twist, kneel, lift, push, and pull items weighing 55lbs. Must be able to stand and continuously move throughout the workday. Must be willing to work outdoors and be comfortable in varying weather.
