Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Pay: $38-$45/hr Depending on Experience + Weekly Performance Bonuses
Experience Required: 3-4+ Years of Professional Diesel Technician Experience

Cusson Automotive is hiring an experienced Diesel Mechanic for our highly respected diesel and fleet repair facility in South Windsor, CT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy-duty trucks, medium-duty trucks, RVs, and fleet vehicles
  • Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, fuel systems, hydraulic systems, and emissions systems
  • Perform transmission repairs, including Allison transmission systems
  • Complete DOT inspections and preventative maintenance services
  • Perform truck and motorhome alignments using Hunter alignment equipment
  • Utilize OEM software, advanced scan tools, and diagnostic platforms
  • Reflash modules and perform programming updates when required
  • Document repairs accurately and maintain high-quality workmanship standards
  • Collaborate with teammates to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction
  • Participate in ongoing Cummins and alternative fuel technology training

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional diesel mechanic experience
  • Strong diesel diagnostics and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with electrical, fuel, hydraulic, and emissions systems
  • Ability to independently diagnose and repair complex vehicle concerns
  • Experience working on heavy-duty and medium-duty trucks
  • Valid driver's license required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cummins certifications or equivalent diesel training
  • Experience with Peterbilt, International, Mack, Caterpillar, and Detroit platforms
  • Experience using OEM diagnostic software and advanced scan tools
  • Module programming and computer reflashing experience
  • Class B CDL or willingness to obtain one
