What is a 4 week RN contract?

A 4 week RN contract is a short-term nursing assignment in which a registered nurse (RN) is hired to work at a healthcare facility for four weeks. These contracts are often used to fill staffing shortages, cover leaves of absence, or address increased patient demand. Nurses on these contracts may work in hospitals, clinics, or other healthcare settings, and often receive competitive pay and sometimes additional benefits such as housing or travel stipends.
