Job Description:
Job Title: Wrapper
Department: Bakery Manufacturing
FLSA: Non-Exempt
General Function:
Packages products from production lines. Maintains a clean work environment and keeps pace to ensure production quota is reached. Ensures that all product is at the highest quality before packaging.

Reporting Relations:
Accountable and Reports to: Director, Bakery Manufacturing; Production Manager
Positions that Report to you: None
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepares and packs products for freezer, keeping an accurate count on freezer sheet.
  • Prepares baking pans and loads and unloads oven.
  • Performs quality control on product at end of production line.
  • Cleans and sanitizes production machinery and work area.
  • Review with supervisor when complete. Informs supervisor of supply shortage or when supplies get low.
  • Reports to work when schedule and on time.
  • Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics:
Must have the ability to follow one or two-step instructions; routine, repetitive task. Ability to simple addition and subtraction; copying figures, counting and recording. Possess the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies orally or in writing.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent experience from on-the-job training.
Supervisory Responsibilities (Direct Reports):
None
Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability to exert up to 30 pounds for force occasionally, 20 pounds of force frequently and exert a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), and field of vision. Must be able to perform the following physical activities: balancing, stooping kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Working Conditions:
This position is continually exposed to noise, equipment movement hazards from production lines and pallet jacks, temperature extremes, dangerous chemical/solvents, and electrical shock. This is a fast paced work environment.
Equipment Used to Perform Job:
Wrapper, box taper, pallet jack, ovens, pan washer and label machine.

Contacts:
Has daily contact with employees. Occasional contact with customers, and suppliers/vendors.
Confidentiality:
Has access to sales results, monthly results, and quarterly inventory results.
