Job description

Yakult USA, the world’s leading probiotic drink manufacturer, is hiring the Factory Administrative Assistant for the 3rd Shift. Must have 5+ years of administrative experience. Purchasing experience and Spanish Bilingual skills are highly preferred.

  • Location: Fountain Valley, CA
  • Direct Hire with Excellent Benefit Package: Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance, 401K with matching, Paid Holiday & PTO
  • Pay Rate: $21.50/hr ~ 27.50/hr plus $3.00/hr for 3rd shift additional pay
  • Work Hours: 5 days/week, Monday – Saturday (Sunday and another day off during weekday), 3rd shift: 11:00pm - 8:00am

Requirements of the Factory Administrative Assistant:

  • A high school diploma, or GED.
  • Spanish bilingual highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of administrative experience.
  • 1+ years of purchasing experience with Inventory Management System experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Knowledge of ADP or other payroll software is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have flexibility as business needs change.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Maintain excellent organization and have high attention to detail.
  • Maintain discretion and handle confidential information with sensitivity.
  • Able to maintain a reliable, pleasant and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities of the Factory Administrative Assistant:

The Administrative Assistant will support the factory office in general operations, performing administrative/clerical duties, and keeping inventory.

  • Manage inventory levels, reorder points, and material requirements to ensure adequate stock availability.
  • Generate and process purchase orders for raw materials, services, and office supplies.
  • Track delivery schedules and verify receiving documents and incoming materials.
  • Conduct monthly inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Assist production teams with inventory analysis and material shortage monitoring using Excel.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment of supplies as needed.
  • Ensure inventory activities comply with company, food safety, and OSHA standards.
  • Maintain clear, accurate, and organized inventory-related documentation.
  • Perform any other administrative assistant duties assigned.
