Position Summary
The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic performs predictive, preventative, and emergency maintenance on high-speed packaging equipment. This role includes completing pre-startup reviews, preventative maintenance, rebuilds, troubleshooting, equipment repairs, and computerized maintenance documentation to support equipment reliability and uptime. The ideal candidate may have some or all of the following skills and be able to perform some or all of the tasks below:
  • Complete pre-startup reviews, preventative maintenance, greasing, rebuilds, and equipment installation or removal
  • Maintain computerized documentation for PM01 and PM02 work
  • Troubleshoot emergency equipment failures and complete equipment repairs
  • Maintain strong working relationships with equipment operators and team members
  • Follow all plant rules and policies, including safety, GMP regulations, and good housekeeping practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned in a team-based environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • One-year certificate from a college or technical school, one to two years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, employees, or members of the organization
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment while following safety, GMP, housekeeping, and plant policy expectations
