Job description

Taylor Metal Products is a leading provider of custom metal solutions, specializing in roll forming and fabrication. As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for a dedicated individual to join our team in a dynamic role. This position offers a unique blend of hands-on onsite work with overnight shifts and warehouse responsibilities at our main shop.

Shift: Dayshift with occasional overnighters

Key Responsibilities:
Onsite Metal Roll Forming (Overnight, Peak Season):

  • Operate and maintain roll forming machinery on-site, ensuring quality standards and production timelines are met.
  • Inspect and prepare raw materials for the roll forming process.
  • Safely operate forklifts to move materials and finished products around the yard and production area.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials from trailers.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company policies.

Warehouse Associate (Non-Onsite Shifts):

  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving, storing, and tracking materials.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move products throughout the warehouse.
  • Prepare materials for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and organizing orders.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Support production by picking and staging materials for upcoming projects.
  • Assist with general warehouse operations as needed, including stocking and order fulfillment.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Forklift operation experience and comfort with material handling in both warehouse and onsite environments.

  • Comfortable pulling and maneuvering trailers, including loading and unloading materials.
  • Experience with machine operation, preferably in a manufacturing or production setting.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices, with familiarity with OSHA guidelines.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently during overnight shifts.
  • Reliable and team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
