Job description

Description

Build Precision. Eliminate Downtime. Drive Results.

When a machine sits idle, production stops. When a setup is perfect, everything flows.

We're looking for a 3rd Shift CNC Setup Specialist who knows the difference.

This isn't an operator position. It's a role for someone who enjoys the challenge of setting up machines, solving machining problems, reducing changeover time, and helping production hit its goals. You'll be the person the team relies on to keep quality high, downtime low, and production moving.

If you take pride in doing things right the first time and leaving every machine better than you found it, you'll fit right in at BCI.

What You'll Do

As our 3rd Shift CNC Setup Specialist, you'll be the technical resource that keeps machining operations running efficiently throughout the night.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up CNC mills, lathes, and machining centers for production
  • Installing tooling, fixtures, and workholding
  • Setting tool and work offsets and verifying first-piece quality
  • Reading blueprints and interpreting GD&T requirements
  • Troubleshooting setup, tooling, and machining issues
  • Making offset and program adjustments to maintain quality
  • Reducing setup times while maintaining safe, repeatable processes
  • Supporting operators with technical issues and process improvements
  • Working closely with Quality and Production to resolve problems quickly
  • Identifying opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency
You're Probably a Great Fit If You...
  • Take ownership instead of waiting for someone else to solve the problem.
  • Enjoy dialing in a setup until every part is right.
  • Stay calm under pressure and think through problems logically.
  • Believe every setup can be faster, safer, and more repeatable.
  • Take pride in producing high-quality work.
  • Like working independently while being part of a team.
Why BCI?

We're a growing gray and ductile iron foundry and machine shop that believes skilled people make the difference. We invest in our equipment, our processes, and most importantly, our team.

We aren't looking for someone to simply keep production running.

We're looking for someone who wants to improve it.

What We Offer
  • Competitive pay with 3rd shift premium
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid vacation and holidays
  • Company-paid life insurance
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Stable employment with opportunities for advancement
  • A team that values ideas, initiative, and continuous improvement
Ready to Make an Impact?

If you're the kind of machinist who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and making every setup count, we want to hear from you.

Apply today and help us keep precision high, downtime low, and production moving.

Requirements

What You Bring
  • Experience setting up CNC machining centers, mills, or lathes
  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment
  • Strong understanding of tooling, offsets, workholding, speeds, and feeds
  • Experience troubleshooting machining and dimensional issues
  • Ability to work independently on 3rd shift
  • Experience machining castings is a plus
  • Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus
