Job description

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Block Molding Operator in Gainesville, GA. In this Block Molding Operator role, you will be responsible for labeling blocks that are coming out and also cutting blocks to the appropriate size. In a Block Mold Operator job you’ll be responsible for:

  • Verify equipment set-up prior to start of a production run, operates and shuts down manufacturing
    equipment.
  • Verifies order information and produces part(s) with the correct material, density, weight, size, and/or
    shape within quality tolerance to meet specific job requirements while meeting productivity standards.
  • Communicates with supervisor to ensure a clear understanding of the daily/weekly molding schedule.
  • Mold expanded bead to specific density
  • Monitor molding process to ensure proper fusion of the block and record pertinent information
  • Label block with required information.
  • Cut blocks to the specified size required.
  • Monitors equipment and reports malfunctions to supervisor; assists with routine cleaning and minor
    maintenance.
What you’ll need:
  • Must be able to push, pull and/or lift up to 50 pounds; and safely operate assigned machinery.
  • Must be able to use simple math and use basic hand-held measuring tools.
  • Light to moderate physical effort required including sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting,
    climbing steps or ladders, grasping, fine and course manipulation, reaching both forward and above
    head level, and tolerant of temperature changes for the entire shift.
