Job description

Yakult USA - the world's leading probiotic drink manufacturer in Fountain Valley, is looking for Machine Operators! Pasteurizer / Blending Machine / Filling Machine / Packaging Machine experience in Beverage industry strongly preferred.


  • Location: Fountain Valley, CA
  • Direct Hire with Excellent Benefit Package: Medical / Dental / Vision / Life Insurance, 401K with matching, Paid Holiday & PTO
  • Work Hours: 5 days/week, Monday – Saturday (Sunday and another day off during weekday) 1st shift: 7:00am - 4:00pm, 2nd shift: 3:00pm - 12:00am, 3rd shift: 11:00pm - 8:00am
  • Salary Range: $21.50 ~ $27.50/hr plus $1.50/hr for 2nd shift, $3.00/hr for 3rd shift additional pay

Requirements of the Machine Operator:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • For Production section, 1 year + of related machine operator experience such as Pasteurizer / Blending Machine in a food industry factory required.
  • For Bottling section, 1 year + of related machine operator experience such as Filling Machine / Packaging Machine in a food industry factory required.
  • Basic knowledge of food technology/science, HACCP, GMP
  • Basic machine operating skills.
  • Technical degree/license in food technology/science or relevant experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Computer literacy with basic Microsoft and internet programs for communication with other departments.
  • Able to lift up to 60 lbs. and climb to perform job functions as needed
  • Maintain excellent organization and have high attention to detail.
  • Ability to accept direction and have a desire to work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to change.

Responsibilities of the Machine Operator:

As Machine Operator you will work in the following roles and Food Safety:

Production Section:

  • Process adding product solution to bottles.
  • Set up equipment and prepare raw materials for production.
  • Clean and sterilize production equipment (including manual cleaning)
  • Perform maintenance on production equipment.
  • Maintain inventory of raw materials and spare parts for production equipment.
  • Update and maintain daily report and forward to supervisor.
  • Perform troubleshooting duties under supervisor’s direction.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by practicing company policies, standard food safety (GMP/HACCP) and OSHA guidelines.
  • Perform any other duties assigned.

Bottling Section:

  • Oversee the production of the finished product (filling and packing).
  • Set up equipment and prepare sub materials for production.
  • Clean and sterilize equipment (including manual cleaning).
  • Inspect finished product on assembly line.
  • Perform maintenance of filling and packing machinery equipment.
  • Maintain inventory of sub materials and spare parts for production equipment.
  • Update and maintain daily report and forward to supervisor.
  • Perform troubleshooting duties under supervisor’s direction.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by practicing company policies, standard food safety (GMP/HACCP) and OSHA guidelines.
  • Perform any other duties assigned.

Food Safety:

  • Follow established Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide feedback on continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure that records are legible, clear, concise and accurate.
  • Report to supervisor any evidence of intentional or unintentional product contamination.
  • Participate in food safety trainings.
  • When applicable, monitor Critical Control Points and Preventative Controls, and report any deviation to Management.
  • Follow-up action plans resulting from food safety initiatives such as Pre-Operational inspections, internal/external audits, Critical Control Points and Preventative Control deviations.
