Material Handler - West Chester, OH
Shift: 2nd (Monday-Friday 3:00pm to 11pm)
Pay: $21.54/hr.
Summary:
The Material Handler position is responsible for efficiently handling materials coming from Manufacturing and outside Suppliers that is being processed into our Assembly Plants and being sent to our customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Be proficient and knowledgeable about safely operating an electric pallet jack, stand-up reach truck, clamp truck and sit-down swing reach truck.
  • Complete a daily safety/maintenance checklist on the material handling equipment at the beginning of each shift. Ensure all safety equipment and devices are in place and working properly before you operate the equipment.
  • Safely operate all material handling equipment within the plant to prevent damage or personal injury.
  • Unload inbound trucks, warehouse materials, supply production lines, and load outbound shipments.
  • Utilize safety precautions and guidelines to ensure each trailer is safe to load/unload.
  • Properly unitize and mark materials.
  • Load various pallets to maximize trailer utilization while minimizing transit damage.
  • Complete all paperwork associated with the movement of materials with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Will us an RF Scanner to load, unload, and moving items within the warehouse.
  • Assist in other areas as needed to maintain a team approach.
  • Responsible for the overall Safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
  • Responsible for lockout /tag out of all trucks before loading or unloading.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Overtime is required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The starting rate is $21.54 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location. The benefits for this role may include short-term bonus incentives, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law, 10 days of paid vacation, and 11 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change. Your actual pay will be based on your work location and other factors, such as your skills, experience, and education.
