MS-IL Staffing & Packaging and its local clients are NOW HIRING for a 2nd Security Guard Shack in the Plainfield IN area!

Position: Security Guard Shack
Shift: 2nd shift, Monday - Thursday, 7:00PM-5:00AM
Pay: $18.22
Location: Plainfield IN 
 
Job Summary:
The Security Guard is responsible for accurately reporting on trailers at the site and assisting carriers on getting on and off the site. Must exhibit attention to detail and ensure complete and accurate work. Needs good handwriting and has to walk out to check the seals on trailers and verify empties. Eventually, they need to be able to do the computer processes as well. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.
 
The duties and responsibilities:
  • Check in and out all professional drivers
  • Directs visitors and professional drivers to various parts of grounds or buildings
  • Professionally and courteously communicate with drivers and team members.
  • Ensure all paperwork is accurate and completed in full.
  • Place seal numbers in the system
  • Report the condition of the trailers at the time of arrival and departure.
  • Verify seal numbers on trailers entering and leaving facility.
  • Assist Shipping/ Receiving Clerk in their daily duties and responsibilities.
  • Follow company policies, guidelines and work instructions.
  • Ensure the yard management program is accurately updated.
  • Control of inbound and outbound trailer movement to and from the customer's drop lot locations.
  • Coordinates any special needs with customer supervision, management and contract drop lot coordinators.
  • Interaction with drivers entering and leaving the facility, ensuring all check in/out and security procedures as prescribed by customer.
  • Assigns drop/pickup locations via information in the customer system.
  • Verifies inbound shipments by type, assign locations, for live unloading, drop location's, door assignments, records all applicable data into customer's computer system.
  •  Verifies outbound shipment with drivers exiting the facility, matching paperwork to driver, tractor and trailer number to proper destination through pick up number verification in the customer's system.
  • Updates the customer computer system for all pickup and deliveries.
 
Qualifications Required:
  • Ability to show up to work on time and be responsible
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift, up to at least 25 pound
  • Strong attention to detail
 
Preferred:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous security experience is a plus
