What is a 3PL company?

A 3PL, or third-party logistics company, is a business that provides outsourced logistics services to companies for part or all of their supply chain management functions. These services can include warehousing, transportation, order fulfillment, distribution, and inventory management. By partnering with a 3PL, businesses can focus on their core competencies while leaving logistics operations to specialists, often resulting in cost savings and improved efficiency.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in a 3PL company, and why are they important?

To thrive in a 3PL company, strong logistics knowledge, supply chain management skills, and a degree in business, logistics, or a related field are typically required.
