Job Purpose
As a Senior Interior Designer, you must have deep knowledge and passion for creating compelling design proposals at an exceptional standard. Have an excellent ability to illustrate your ideas in 2D and translate those ideas into 3D. Your primary purpose is to support the Interior Director on all projects, ranging from concept creation and ideation all the way through to delivering production-ready design solutions.
This position includes creating interior visions and 'artwork' for concept presentations to executives and potential customers. Excellent communication skills are needed to interact with a fast-paced and multi-talented team. The ideal candidate is highly productive and has a team-centered spirit and a positive attitude.
This position is full-time in-office. Candidates must reside within Dallas TX or have a reasonable driving commute to Justin, TX and/or be willing to relocate.
Responsibilities (80s of the Position)
  • Develop proposals for both production and concept vehicles using your 2d sketching, 3D modeling, and 3D rendering abilities
  • Interact collaboratively across many different departments and functions.
  • Perform benchmarking of competitive vehicles/products.
  • Research product/industrial design, material, and future mobility trends.
  • Present strategies, vision, and innovation to executives
  • Work closely with studio engineering to bring your designs into production.
  • Support CAS and clay 3D modelers with clear and representative drawings/renderings to develop your designs in 3D
  • Able to work efficiently and creatively on multiple programs at once.
  • Incorporate the criteria to meet engineering and manufacturing requirements for design execution.
  • Clearly and comfortably communicate design ideas to the team and work in a competitive environment.

Required Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in industrial / transportation / automotive design.
  • 5+ Years' experience in OEM or startup automotive design studios.
  • Highly capable with Autodesk Alias, Blender, and Keyshot
  • Overseeing the development of components/vehicles from initial designs to final production
  • Ability to create a presentation telling a compelling story
  • Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office suites

Preferred Experience
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Success at bringing a range of people into the research and design process
  • Preparation of presentations for upper management
  • Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Environmental Management Systems

Travel Requirements
  • 20%+ travel (Domestic & International)
