AME Engineering is currently looking for a BIM Modeling Intern to join our team. The BIM Modeling Intern will be responsible for helping develop the structural system design in support of design/build projects including Industrial, Self-storage, Controlled Environments, Entertainment, Multi-Family, and other types of facilities.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
  • Perform fundamental modeling tasks using Revit, AutoCAD and Bluebeam software applications.
  • Help with developing piping system models including pipe spacing, fitting makeup, valve locations and in-line components in 3D applications
  • Apply basic knowledge of building codes, standards and other criteria in the development of project designs.
  • Assist with preparing permits and construction models for industrial building, industrial equipment and process piping design
  • Work with Designers and Engineers to understand details of modeling goals
  • Generate 3D models from one line drawings and consult with other project team members to model BIM
  • Gather drawings and specs, calculate material and equipment requirements and set up production methods
  • Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and the employees, while maintaining constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's of Engineering program or related field of study
  • Prior industry internship experience is a plus
  • Extracurricular involvement is a plus
