American Real Estate Partners LLC

Mclean, VA

$65K - $89K/yr

Full-time

Re-posted 28 days ago

Job description

Headquartered in the Greater Washington area, American Real Estate Partners (AREP) is a US-based leading institutional fund manager and real estate partner with over $13 billion deployed across key U.S. markets. Specializing in data center, residential, industrial, and office assets, AREP has acquired more than 34 million square feet of Class A real estate and currently manages over 25 million square feet.

PowerHouse Data Centers, a wholly owned division of AREP, is a developer and owner of next-generation data centers and provides technical real estate solutions for hyperscalers across the country. Backed by strategic joint venture partnerships, PowerHouse leverages its proven leadership and best-in-class technical expertise to deliver innovative real estate solutions.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Graphic Designer – Digital Sales & Enablement is primarily responsible for owning end-to-end graphic design execution across AREP's corporate, office, data center (PowerHouse), and residential (CityHouse) platforms. This is a player-coach execution role to produce in-house and manage outside agency partners for sales and marketing materials. This position is critical to providing high-quality, on-brand creative execution that drives business growth and brand credibility.

The Senior Graphic Designer reports to the SVP of Integrated Marketing Communications and has a full-time, in-office schedule.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end design creation and production for marketing materials, with a heavy focus on sales decks, one-pagers, case studies, web content and collateral built to persuade, not just inform.
  • Lead stakeholder alignment and protect quality; ask the right questions, resolve conflicting inputs, and keep projects moving while holding the line on accuracy, clarity, and brand standards.
  • Transform complex, technical source material from multiple stakeholders into clear and credible visual narratives, smart diagrams, clean charts, and scannable layouts that a business audience can absorb fast.
  • Own project delivery: set timelines, manage versions, maintain file hygiene, and ensure every output is correct and client-ready.
  • Develop digital content and assets for AREP, PowerHouse, and CityHouse social channels and websites.
  • Brief, direct, and manage agency partners; providing strong creative direction, reviewing outputs, and driving revisions until the work meets set standards.
  • Build repeatable templates, chart styles, and layout systems that raise quality, enforce brand consistency, and reduce rework across teams.

Key Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree graphic design, visual arts, or related field, or additional significant relevant working experience in lieu of degree.
  • 10+ years of professional graphic design experience with strong knowledge and understanding of core graphic design principles, techniques, and storytelling.
  • Strong portfolio across print, digital, and campaign work displaying real-world examples that demonstrate expertise in graphic design and creative conceptualization.
  • Highly Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), PowerPoint (expert-level), Google Slides, Acrobat Pro, Dropbox, SharePoint.
  • Basic HTML/CSS literacy; high-level experience with web and social media platforms.
  • Strong ability to create decks, one-pagers, case studies, landing pages, and event collateral that are built to persuade—not just inform.
  • Strong ability to take messy, highly technical inputs from multiple stakeholders and turning them into clear, credible visual stories.
  • Strong Typography, hierarchy, spacing, grids, charts, and layout discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to move quickly without cutting corners, especially under deadline pressure, and deliver best in class deliverables.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with ability to work independently and under direction.

Key Behaviors

  • You think in story and structure. You can take a complex subject and build a narrative that a busy audience understands fast
  • You handle ambiguity. When inputs conflict or are incomplete, you ask the right questions, propose a direction, and move the work forward
  • You're the in-house design execution engine, and own the design process end-to-end—from first draft to final deliverable

Candidates with any or all of the following background are strongly encouraged to apply:

  • Experience in infrastructure, or technical industries
  • Agency experience
  • After Effects
  • Figma (components, responsive layouts, handoff-ready specs)
  • Asana/Jira/Monday for project management
  • Webflow and/or WordPress
  • 3D, video editing and/or motion graphics
