What does a 35 an hour job mean?

A '35 an hour' job refers to a position where the employee is paid $35 for every hour worked. This hourly wage is commonly used for part-time, full-time, contract, or temporary jobs. At this rate, working 40 hours per week would result in a gross pay of $1,400 per week, before taxes and deductions. Such wages are typical in roles that require specialized skills or experience, such as healthcare, skilled trades, or certain technical positions.

What types of roles typically offer a starting wage of $35 an hour, and what can job seekers expect in terms of responsibilities and work environment?

Positions that offer $35 an hour are often skilled or specialized roles such as licensed trades (e.g., electricians, HVAC technicians), healthcare professionals (e.g., dental hygienists, registered nurses), or technical positions (e.g., IT support specialists, paralegals). Daily responsibilities vary by field but generally include a mix of hands-on work, client or patient interaction, and following industry regulations or standards. Work environments can range from clinics and hospitals to construction sites or offices, and most roles involve collaboration with teams or clients. Job seekers should be prepared for both technical challenges and the need to communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Human Resources Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Human Resources Specialist, you need a strong understanding of labor laws, recruitment processes, and employee relations, often supported by a bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field. Experience with HR information systems (HRIS), payroll software, and certifications like SHRM-CP or PHR is beneficial. Outstanding interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail make someone stand out in this position. These skills ensure effective talent management, compliance with regulations, and a positive workplace environment.

About Great Clips

Sourced by ZipRecruiter

Great Clips, Inc. was established in Minneapolis, Minnesota by founders David Rubenzer and Steve Lemmon in 1982, a time when most people received haircuts in one of three ways: in full-service hair salons, from barbershops or at home. As a stylist and businessman, David could see that the industry was changing. Customers were looking for a hair salon service that could fit their busy lifestyles and desire for value. To be part of that change – rather than find themselves competing with it – David and Steve developed the then-radical concept of a walk-in haircare salon with weekend and evening hours, offering customers a select list of services, and providing benefits for stylists. After the founders opened several successful hair salons, Ray Barton joined David and Steve as an owner in March 1983. With Ray's help and expertise in franchising, the trio set about growing the Great Clips hair salon brand. That success continues through today.
