What is a $35 an hour RBT?

A $35 an hour RBT refers to a Registered Behavior Technician who earns $35 per hour for providing behavioral therapy services, typically for individuals with autism or other developmental disorders. RBTs work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement treatment plans and collect data on client progress. This hourly rate can vary depending on location, employer, experience, and demand for RBTs in the area. Earning $35 an hour usually indicates a competitive pay rate for this role, reflecting higher demand or increased experience and credentials. Becoming an RBT requires specific training and passing a certification exam.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) earning $35 an hour?

To thrive as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you need a high school diploma (or equivalent), RBT certification, and a solid understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles. Familiarity with data collection tools, ABA therapy software, and compliance with HIPAA regulations is typically required.
