Heavy Equipment Operator

RKE Contractors is looking to hire a Heavy Equipment Operator to work on a Heavy Civil Federal project in the Helena, Arkansas


Job Type:Full Time, In-Person


Schedule:Monday Friday, with some Saturdays as needed


Pay:$25 - $35 an hour


Job Tasks:

The Operators job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Must have experience with the following:
    • Breaker (hydraulic hammer) on large excavator
    • Cutting grade with excavator
  • Operating one or more of the following equipment and/or machines:
    • Excavator
    • Dozer
    • Wheel Loader
  • Preparing construction sites for building, demolition, or excavation
  • Performing daily machine inspections and routine greasing, oiling, and fueling
  • Performing other job duties as assigned, such as some manual labor
  • Complying with all safety regulations, policies, and record-keeping


Operator Requirements:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience operating heavy equipment
  • Must have a valid Drivers License
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, push, pull, walk on rough terrain, and climb in and out of equipment and work areas
  • Must be able to work in outdoor environments
  • CDL is not required, but is preferred
