Job description

We have an immediate opportunity for a Directional Drill Operator for the Teton County area of Idaho. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a directional drill for telecom construction projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to operate directional drills and locators
  • Possesses a Class A CDL with airbrake endorsement
  • Ability to train other operators
  • Ability to operator Directional Drill for Small Size (10K-20K capacity)
  • Tanker Endorsement Certificate required
  • Responsible for cleaning, checking fluid levels and conducting visual inspection of equipment daily
  • Excellent communicator – ability to communicate with supervisors and co-workers effectively

Knowledge and Ability

  • Horizontal drill operator experience required
  • Duct, cable, and vault construction experience required
  • Understanding of utility locating laws and compliance procedures
  • This position requires ability to walk, stand, stoop, sit, reach and lift
  • Ability to work in climate weather
