Marias Healthcare Services Health Center in Shelby, Montana is hiring a pharmacist. Salary: $65-$70 per hour
Competencies: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to maintain priorities for effective performance of duties, including re-prioritization in response to changes in circumstances. Ability to devise effective solutions to situations encountered based on the general goals and objectives of the function. Ability to incorporate departmental/functional processes into the overall functioning of the organization. Ability to draw conclusions using inference and logic, which may be different than the conclusions that could be drawn by others. Ability to exercise management authority over other employees that may include Pharmacy Technicians, Medication Assistance Program Specialists, and Pharmacy Assistants. Supervision may be required of employees located at the MHSI-Shelby site.
Professional & Technical Knowledge: Possesses advanced level general skills, including written and verbal communications skills, computational and computer skills, mathematical knowledge and pharmaceutical knowledge acquired through completion of a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree.
License and Certification: Montana Pharmacist License is required; PharmD required; 3-5 years' experience in management preferred.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of medical information sources that are required for drug information provision and reporting. Ability to use software for clinical services and billing. Ability to prepare more complex documents in Microsoft Word, including creating tables, charts, graphs and other elements. Ability to use Microsoft Excel to analyze data, including the use of formulas, functions, lookup tables and other standard spreadsheet elements. Ability to develop sophisticated presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint, including the use of embedded objects, transitions and other elements. Knowledge of the Outlook program at a level to train others.
Physical Requirements: Standing 75% of the time; walking 15% of the time; sitting 20% of the time; lifting and carrying 5% of the time, and able to carry up to 30 pounds. Pushing/pulling: 0% of the time; bending, stooping, twisting: 50% of the time; reaching and handling: 80% of the time. Climbing stairs: 5% of the time. Hearing: within normal limits with or without use of corrective hearing devices. Vision: adequate to read 12-point type with or without use of corrective lenses. Must be able to verbally interact with staff, clients, and the public. Manual dexterity of hands/fingers for writing, computer input.
Work Environment: Work indoors in heat-controlled environment 95% of the time. OSHA Exposure Category #2 (The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, but exposure or potential exposure may be required as a condition of employment.)
