Physical Therapist

for its

 Palace at Home
10850 SW 113th Place Miami, FL 33176

 

The #1 Priority of this position is…

To provide physical therapy as prescribed by a physician, which can be safely provided in the facility and assisting the physician in evaluating patients by applying diagnostic muscle, nerve, joint and functional abilities test.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy services as prescribed by a physician.
  • To observe and record activities and findings in the clinical record and report the resident’s reaction to the treatment and any changes in the patient’s condition.
  • Provide instructions to the resident, family members and other health team personnel in care and use of physical therapy devices.
  • Determine proper procedures and methods and evaluate results.
  • Maintain inventory of materials and supplies for the assigned area of the department/facility.
  • Practice Physical Therapy consistent with the American Physical Therapy Association Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved school of Physical Therapy.
  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred.
  • Must possess active State of Florida Physical Therapy license.
  • Have supervision and management skills.
  • Must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written in English. Spanish preferred.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Able to operate the necessary equipment.

  • Flexible as to work schedule. Must be available to work on weekends, holidays & in emergencies.
