The Instructional Designer & System Trainer is responsible for designing, developing, delivering, and refining training solutions that support system adoption and operational effectiveness. This role partners with Continuous Improvement and collaborates with Subject Matter Experts to design and deliver role-based systems training.

Essential Job Functions

The Instructional Designer & System Trainer reports to the Business Systems Training Manager within the Talent Development team and supports systems training across business areas. This position facilitates instructor-led and virtual training sessions, adapting delivery to meet learner needs. The role manages SAP Enable Now content, supports change communication efforts, and contributes to Super User program enablement. The role improves training consistency and effectiveness by applying instructional design standards, conducting quality reviews, and using data to improve learning outcomes. 

  • Reviews and refines Continuous Improvement training to align with instructional design standards and learner needs and recommends improvements
  • Partners with SMEs to design and develop training solutions for systems or roles not supported by Continuous Improvement
  • Facilitates instructor-led and virtual training sessions and adapts delivery based on audience needs, engagement, and skill level
  • Develops reinforcement materials to support knowledge transfer, retention, and application on the job using digital adoption platforms such as SAP Enable Now or WalkMe, aligned to system functionality and business processes
  • Maintains and organizes SAP Enable Now content structure, including standards, metadata and lifecycle management, to ensure intuitive access and scalability and partners with Continuous Improvement to design and deliver web-based, in-application digital help aligned with system processes
  • Develops and maintains user support resources aligned to system functionality and business processes
  • Evaluates training quality and effectiveness, identifies gaps, and recommends improvements
  • Supports Super User program enablement through resource development and facilitation support
  • Analyzes training data and learner feedback to recommend improvements to content, delivery, and learner experience

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in instructional design, training delivery, or related roles
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in instructional design, education, or related field
  • Experience with eLearning development and user-focused design
  • Strong understanding of instructional design frameworks and application
  • Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools including (Articulate, Storyline, Adobe, Camtasia, Synthesia), digital adoption platforms including SAP Enable Now and multimedia tools; preferred experience with WalkMe
  • Experience facilitating in-person and virtual training
  • Ability to translate complex business processes into structured learning solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for learner-facing materials and stakeholder collaboration
  • Analytical skills to assess training effectiveness and recommend improvements based on data and feedback
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work based on deadlines and business needs
